A 3.6-liter V-6 engine producing 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque comes standard with the Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit levels. The 4x4 models of the Limited, Trailhawk, Overland and Summit trims also have three available engine upgrades: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine generating 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, a 3.6-liter V-6 engine delivering 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter V-8 engine producing 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The sport geared SRT trim level comes with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine with 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, perfect for high-performance driving. Finally, the Trackhawk trim comes with the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine producing 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.

The 2019 Grand Cherokee is available in either 4x2 or 4x4 drive modes with the exception of the Trailhawk, SRT, and Trackhawk trims which are only available as 4x4.
