2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Buyers can choose from four different trim levels for the Grand Wagoneer: Series I, Series II, Obsidian, and Series III. The Jeep 7-slot front grille and slim LED headlamps are standard on all models. The grille leans forward significantly, just like the original Wagoneer, and the hood sports a big Grand Wagoneer logo. Standard exterior features include a black-accented roof, power-folding side exterior mirrors, and dual exhaust.

A 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 provides power to all Grand Wagoneer’s. It boasts a 471 horsepower engine with 455 pound-feet of torque thanks to an air-induction system. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard for all-wheel drive. Jeep's Quadra-Drive II system is included on every Grand Wagoneer model. This is a two-range four-wheel drive that detects wheel sliding and sends power to the wheels, or even just one wheel, that requires it in order to improve traction.

Off-road capability is a strong suit for this SUV. It has a Selec-Terrain system with Auto, Snow, Sport, Rock, Sand and Mud modes as standard. It also includes adaptive suspension that can raise and lower the ride height by up to 3.6 inches and a half-inch, respectively. It can tow up to 9,860 pounds when fitted with a hitch.

Depending on the layout, the cabin can accommodate up to seven or eight passengers. High-quality materials are used throughout the trim, including Nappa leather upholstery, aluminum and wood accents, and even onyx glass trim pieces. There are 20-way power-adjustable front seats with a massage feature, four-way power headrests, and memory as standard. A heated steering wheel is available, as well as steering column memory.

Three big display screens span the front dash of the Grand Wagoneer. In front of the driver, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.1-inch center touch screen, and a 10.25-inch touch screen in front of the passenger. There are up to 11 USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a Wi-Fi hot spot standard with Uconnect 5.

There is a full suite of standard safety features for this large SUV. Every model comes with driver aids such as forward collision warning and automatic braking, a blind-spot monitor, parking sensors, a digital rearview mirror, and rear cross-traffic alert. Lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist also come standard, and every trim has adaptive cruise control, night vision with pedestrian detection and animal detection, and a self-parking feature. A semi-autonomous driving mode will be a future option for the Grand Wagoneer, allowing hands-free driving.
