2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

For 2023, the Grand Cherokee is offered in Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve trim levels. The Laredo has LED lights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, and heated power mirrors. The Altitude adds rain-sensing wipers, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power tailgate, while the limited trim gets LED fog lamps and 18-inch wheels.

The off-road specialized Trailhawk has unique features and styling cues such as a black roof and hood decal. The top three trims offer welcome lighting, front light animation, auto-tilt in reverse mirrors, a hands-free tailgate, and 20- or 21-inch wheels.

Standard power for the Grand Cherokee is provided by a 293-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 260 pound-feet of torque. The Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve models can be equipped with a 357-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 engine that delivers 390 pound-feet of torque.

The 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain features a 2.0-liter engine that makes 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. This unit is standard for the Trailhawk model and is available as an upgrade for other trims. All engines are matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

V-6-powered Grand Cherokees come with rear-wheel drive, or the option of four-wheel drive, which is standard with the other engines. The Trailhawk adds to this Jeep's capability with specialized off-road features. The 4xe models can tow up to 6,000 pounds, while the V-6 engine offers a towing capacity of up to 6,200 pounds. With the V-8 engine, you can haul up to 7,200 pounds.

Inside, the Grand Cherokee has a spacious, upscale, and well-appointed cabin with plenty of passenger room and cargo space. In the Laredo, you'll find a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, cloth seating, a power-adjustable driver's seat, folding and reclining second-row seats, and dual-zone automatic temperature control. The multimedia system offers an 8.4-inch touch screen, smartphone capability, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

The Altitude trim features leather seating, heated front seats and steering wheel, and wireless charging. Step up to the Limited for a memory driver's seat, heated second-row seats, and a 10.1-inch touch screen with navigation. The Trailhawk has unique interior trim, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.

Overland models add sophisticated wood and chrome trim, along with a dual-pane sunroof and a premium nine-speaker sound system. The Summit trim ups the luxury with a massaging driver's seat, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and quad-zone automatic temperature control. With the Summit Reserve, you get ventilated rear seats, a front passenger touch screen, and a McIntosh 19-speaker audio system.

The Grand Cherokee's electronic stability control, four-wheel traction control, rain brake support, and advanced brake assist will keep you on track. Standard driver assistance features include a lane keeping system, blind-spot monitor, cross-traffic detection, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, and rear parking assist with automatic stop technology. Other available features include highway assist, drowsy driver warning, junction collision assist, and side distance alert.
