The park also has various hiking trails as well as an 18-hole golf course. It’s open year-round and offers many different activities, including hiking, biking, and fishing. If you’re looking for a family trip that doesn’t cost too much money, this is the perfect place to go!

Pine Grove Furnace State Park

Pine Grove Furnace State Park is a great place to spend the day exploring. The park is located near Red Lion and has beautiful views of the Susquehanna River Valley. Visitors can explore many hiking trails, including an easy 1/4-mile trail that leads to an overlook of the river valley below. The park also features picnic areas, a swimming pool, playgrounds, and ball fields.

Gifford Pinchot State Park

Gifford Pinchot State Park is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The park is named after Gifford Pinchot, the first chief of the U.S. Forest Service, and covers nearly 6,000 acres. Camping, hiking, and biking are some of the most popular activities at this beautiful park.

The park also has an extensive trail system that winds throughout and connects with other trails in the area, making it an ideal spot for hikers and mountain bikers. The park offers more than 20 miles of trails that vary in difficulty level. Some trails are steep and rocky, while others are flat or even paved for easy walking or wheelchair accessibility.

Marsh Creek State Park

Marsh Creek State Park is a beautiful state park with many trails, a lake, and plenty of activities for you and your family. The park has a small beach area, which is perfect for swimming when the weather is nice. The park also offers fishing opportunities on Marsh Lake, two playgrounds, and two picnic pavilions.

If you are looking for a place to camp, this park is great because it has on-site camping facilities with electricity hookups available. There are also cabins that can accommodate up to six people if you are looking for more privacy than camping offers.

Each of these parks is stunning in its own way, and they are all easy to get to if you’re visiting or living around the Red Lion area. Be sure to give at least one of them a visit this summer!
