2021 Chrysler PacificaAlthough minivans have not been in fashion over the last few decades, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica offers an attractive option for even the most dedicated SUV fan. Those with large families will find the sheer space that this minivan has to offer very alluring. Minivans like the Pacifica are generally more comfortable to drive than three-row SUVs. Space, however, is not all that the Pacifica has to offer. This minivan’s jam-packed with modern tech-savvy features and also now boasts an all-wheel-drive option.

1. Attractive Exterior

The Pacifica’s a far cry from the soccer mom minivans of yesteryear. The exterior design features modern and sleek lines, and with the 2021 model comes a few style upgrades, such as reshaped headlights and a larger grille as well as newly designed, wider taillights. Standard exterior features include a power liftgate, active grille shutters, 17-inch alloy wheels, and quad halogen headlights. Higher trims add nice-to-haves like a chrome roof rack, LED fog lights, and LED taillights.

2. Upscale Interior

The cabin of the Pacifica is spacious and allows for a variety of different seating and cargo configurations. When you need more cargo space, the minivan’s Stow ‘n Go second- and third-row seats can be folded into the floor with one easy movement. The easy tilt feature of the second row also makes for effortless access to the third row, while easy-to-access floor bins provide convenient storage space for smaller items. New with the 2021 model is an available ultra center console, which is a larger console that provides 30% more storage and an integrated armrest for comfort.

3. New All-Wheel-Drive Option

The Pacifica will come with a standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine that’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and makes 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. New with the 2021 model is the inclusion of an all-wheel-drive option on all trims. A hybrid 3.6-liter V-6 that’s paired with two electric motors and can travel up to 33 miles on electric power will once again be included in this lineup as well. However, this powertrain will not feature an all-wheel-drive option.

4. Latest In Technology

The 2021 Pacifica offers the latest and greatest in technological innovation. This model will be the first Chrysler to feature the Uconnect 5 infotainment system that can apparently process information five times faster. The system boasts a 10.1-inch touch screen and allows for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

Other technological innovations included with the Pacifica is the FamCAM video system, allowing front passengers to keep an eye on the second row. The system also allows the driver or front passenger to zoom in on rear-facing infant seats. To keep the older kids happy, opt for an available rear-seat entertainment system, which comes with two wireless headphones and dual 10.1-inch touch screens.

The new Pacifica also features newly-added standard safety features to keep you and your family safe on the roads. These include a pedestrian automatic emergency braking system, full-speed forward collision warning, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, and a blind-spot monitoring system.

To get to know this capable, spacious, and modern minivan a bit better, drop by Thornton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram later this year and take the Pacifica for a test drive.
