2020 Jeep Grand CherokeeWe are willing to bet you have a friend or family member who has been a Grand Cherokee owner as long as you’ve known them. They keep coming back because brand identity keeps impressing them. The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the next in a long line of fan favorites – it has many features that impress. Here are our top three.

1. Standard Trims That Get Better and Better

Have you noticed that you can visually identify the Grand Cherokee without having to think about it? Although every new Grand Cherokee model year looks slightly different, that “instant recognition” factor remains constant. The number and scheme of trim levels remain constant in 2020, but there are some enhancements.

First up, Jeep’s Active Safety Group bundle of advanced driver safety features is now standard in the base Laredo model in addition to the pricier trim choices. Laredos now feature forward collision warning, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and auto emergency braking. That’s big news for smaller budgets.

In 2020, Limited and Trailhawk trims include (as standard) the popular single-pane moon roof. And there’s now a new headlight option for Laredo, Limited, and Trailhawk packages.  New Owners can choose bi-xenon high-intensity headlamps, daytime running lights, and LED foglights.

2. Power You Can Rely On

You don’t have to splurge on the top trim level to have great power and towing capability. All of the Grand Cherokee engines rise to the occasion. Budget-conscious buyers will be pleased with any of the more “modest” engine packages. The 6.4-liter V-8 option boasts 475 hp and has plenty of torque for towing. There’s also a 5.7-liter V-8 “Hemi” that provides 360 hp and improves fuel economy a little.

Finally, the 3.6-liter “Pentastar” V-6 is your choice when commuting is a significant factor, with the best fuel economy of the lot (19 in the city and 26 on the highway). These packages are all capable of towing a little more than 7000 pounds. If you prefer top-of-the-line specs, the Trackhawk’s supercharged, high-torque V-8 will make you giddy. This beast delivers up to 707 horsepower (hp) and the torque to go with it. You can tow around 7500 lbs with this setup.

3. Let Jeep Infotain You

The infotainment options in the 2020 Grand Cherokee lineup will allow you to leave your home and get on the road seamlessly. Depending on the trim package you choose, you can have your car warmed up and set up before you even leave your house.

The Sirius XM Guardian system, paired with the UConnect App, is a game-changer for connectivity on the road. You can use your voice (through Alexa or Hey Google) to start your car (if equipped with remote start) and add a navigation destination while you’re pouring a travel mug of coffee. And this is just the beginning. You can have a mobile hotspot, integration with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and a lot more.

Just three of many reasons you should visit Thornton Jeep Ram soon and be impressed with the level of technology, style, and performance that Grand Cherokee owners love.
