2. Go Shopping at the Annual Something Used Wedding Yard Sale
This event is held annually, and this year, it’ll be on Sunday, April 30 from 1 – 4pm at the Farm & Home Center. The address is 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. This event is the perfect place to sell those items you spent so much money on for your wedding and hardly used. If you’re planning a wedding, it’s also a great visit to find wedding items at a more affordable price.
Expect a flea-market style set of vendor tables manned by former brides and small crafters selling their wares, as well as tables for wedding-related businesses that are offering discounted or lower-cost services. A portion of the sales will go to charity, so you’ll be doing yourself and others a favor at the same time.
3. Celebrate Earth Day With the Kids
Take your kids (ages 4-12) to the Kid’s Club – Plant & Watch Them Grow event at Stauffers of Kissel Hill Home & Garden. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 1 – 2pm. You’ll find Stauffers at 3949 Carlisle Rd in Dover. Kids will get to plant sunflower seeds and marigold seeds and then take home either a tomato or pepper plant, learning about how our world works along the way.
