2020 Jeep RenegadeProviding a safe journey while traveling on the road whether you’re making your way around town, navigating the interstate, or having an off-road adventure is the focus of the 2020 Jeep Renegade.

1. Parking Assistance

The ParkSense Rear Park Assist System and Backup Camera are your eyes whenever you’re backing up. If the Jeep is too close to another vehicle, sensors detect it and alert you to the potential accident. The system also has the capability to bring the Renegade to a halt if it senses an object is in the way.

Whenever you’re trying to get into or out of a parking spot between two vehicles, the Parallel and Perpendicular Park and Exit Assist system takes over control of the steering wheel. The system will then provide visual and audible instructions on how to enter or exit the spot safely.

Another set of eyes comes with the ParkSense Front Park Assist that also provides audio and visual aid of the distance available between the Jeep and other vehicles or obstacles when you’re moving forward.

2. Chassis Construction

The chassis of the 2020 Renegade is constructed with advanced high-strength steel. The durable material provides protection in the event of a crash. Inside the Jeep, seven air bags provide protection to the driver and all passengers.

3. Adaptive Cruise Control

With Adaptive Cruise Control, the system will automatically adjust the driving speed to ensure there is adequate distance between the Renegade and the vehicle ahead of you.

4. Monitoring

There are times when you can’t see other vehicles in what are referred to as blind spots. With Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection in place, the radar-based sensors are designed to detect vehicles that are out of your line of vision.

It isn’t uncommon to drift into another lane. The LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist measures the Renegade’s position inside the boundaries of the driving lane. If the Jeep drifts outside the lane, the system alerts you and helps correct the Jeep back within the lane’s boundaries.

Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking does just what the name implies. While driving, if the system senses the possibility of a frontal impact, the driver is alerted to make an adjustment. If no adjustment is made and the system still senses an impact, the active braking system takes over and automatically halts the Jeep.

5. Additional Features

A few of the additional features that provide a safe and secure ride include rain-sensing windshield wipers, which automatically regulate the speed of the wipers to match the current rain conditions.

Automatic High Beam Headlamps provide a clear path of the road ahead providing the right amount of illumination whenever it’s needed. With the Uconnect app, you can safely lock or unlock the Renegade using either your smartwatch or smartphone. In the event you need roadside assistance, the Renegade has you covered. To connect to help, press the easily accessible ASSIST button on the overhead console.

With more than 70 safety and security technology features available as standard or optional on the 2020 Jeep Renegade, plus safety ratings from IIHS and NHTSA, you can drive with confidence and peace of mind. See or test drive one today at Thornton CDJR!
