Thornton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

2020 Jeep CompassNestling midway between the subcompact Renegade and larger Cherokee, the 2020 Jeep Compass comes as a comfortable, off-road vehicle. It has a beefy styling and the go-anywhere do-anything aura that helps it stand out from the current rivals in the subcompact crossover segment. While there haven’t been a major upscale from the previous model’s features, the new Jeep has one of the best infotainment systems in the segment.

1. Excellent Off-Road Capabilities

Like any other Jeep, the new Compass impresses when put through its paces. The entry-level trims come standard with front-wheel drive, but off-road-oriented four-wheel drives are available.

All trims are powered by a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that offers 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The nine-speed automatic transmission and quick upshifts in the 4WD versions make the SUV a decent off-roader despite not having a low-range gear like the Wrangler. Read the rest of this entry »

2020 Jeep Grand CherokeeWe are willing to bet you have a friend or family member who has been a Grand Cherokee owner as long as you’ve known them. They keep coming back because brand identity keeps impressing them. The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the next in a long line of fan favorites – it has many features that impress. Here are our top three.

1. Standard Trims That Get Better and Better

Have you noticed that you can visually identify the Grand Cherokee without having to think about it? Although every new Grand Cherokee model year looks slightly different, that “instant recognition” factor remains constant. The number and scheme of trim levels remain constant in 2020, but there are some enhancements.

First up, Jeep’s Active Safety Group bundle of advanced driver safety features is now standard in the base Laredo model in addition to the pricier trim choices. Laredos now feature forward collision warning, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and auto emergency braking. That’s big news for smaller budgets.

In 2020, Limited and Trailhawk trims include (as standard) the popular single-pane moon roof. And there’s now a new headlight option for Laredo, Limited, and Trailhawk packages.  New Owners can choose bi-xenon high-intensity headlamps, daytime running lights, and LED foglights.   Read the rest of this entry »

Chrysler Pacifica Since the FCA has announced that the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, the response has been overwhelming. Luckily, you don’t have to wait for the launch of the brand-new 2021 model to lay your hands on an all-wheel-drive Pacifica, as a new 2020 model, called the AWD Launch Edition, will be on the market later this year. The AWD Launch Edition package will be available exclusively on the Touring L trim. Here’s some more information on what to expect from this all-wheel-drive-capable Pacifica model.

  1. Improved Performance

The Pacifica AWD Launch Edition will afford you more confidence as it makes for a more stable and secure performance. The system requires no input from the driver and will seamlessly engage when a change in driving or weather conditions is detected.

When such changes, such as challenging terrain or freezing temperatures are detected, the system automatically routes all available torque to the wheels that have the most traction, in this way keeping the vehicle stable on the road. The system also detects when all-wheel drive is no longer needed and then automatically engages the front-wheel-system, which enhances the minivan’s efficiency. Read the rest of this entry »

Hiking at Sunset With the Appalachian Mountains on one side and the beautiful Susquehanna on the other, York County is full of gorgeous natural getaways where you can experience nature. Here are our top three spots for going on a scenic hike through nature without leaving York County.

Heritage Rail Trail County Park

Heritage Rail Trail County Park in Glen Rock spans 21 miles of scenic southern Pennsylvania, connecting York’s historic district with the Northern Central Rail Trail in Maryland. Created along the historic train route of the Northern Central Railway, Heritage Rail Trail County Park provides visitors with a blend of peaceful natural views and exciting glimpses into the past. This mellow trail is wheelchair accessible, and you can expect to see young families, cyclists, and even horseback riders as you explore.

Historic structures are stationed throughout the park, including the Hanover Junction, one of the places Abraham Lincoln stopped on his way to give the Gettysburg Address. The trail crosses over four unique railroad bridges and passes through the Howard Tunnel, a rustic 370-foot brick tunnel that welcomed its first train in 1883. Read the rest of this entry »

Ram 1500 Rebel TRX You know that a new vehicle is a highly anticipated one when everyone’s talking about what you can expect from the ride. That’s exactly the case with the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX, a truck that was first introduced at a concept show in 2016. Here are some speculations we hope are true about this pickup truck that will only amplify how excited we are to drive one.

Adjustable Suspension Steering

Ram trucks are known for their excellent handling, and rightfully so. The suspension found on these pickup trucks gives you power on the road and the ability to keep yourself and your passengers safe. With a strong suspension, your wheels remain where they belong — on the road — so you can navigate over nearly any terrain. Rumored to appear on the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX is adjustable suspension steering, which adds an extra element of control to your drive.

Although it’s currently unknown if this pickup truck will have its tried-and-true air suspension model or opt for a more electric system, a drive mode selector will be the base of its adjustable suspension. Now you’ll be able to adjust important vehicle features, such as the throttle, stability, shift points, among other options.

A Rugged Exterior

The Rebel TRX is rumored to have an aggressive look on the road, with dual exhaust tips that are blacked out for a powerful look, tow hooks, LED brake lights, a large hood with marker lights embedded into it, and impressively large 37-inch tires. The proposed front grille and width of the truck will make it a force to be reckoned with.
